Hot/steam cleaners are commonly used for grease, oil or fat. Steam cleaners are popular choices in workshops, dairy farms or the food industry.
Should I go for low speed pump over a high speed pump and why?
A low speed pump generally is a crankshaft style pump running at 1450 rpm. Normally these can draw their own water from a source and have minimal wear and tear if maintained correctly. These style pumps are also used with both petrol/diesel engines and electric motors.
A high speed pump is generally a crankshaft pump running at 3400 rpm. The pistons are smaller and you normally have to feed them with water from mains pressure or a good tank supply. Wear and tear is about double that of a low speed pump.
A wobble plate pump is an off set flange spinning on a shaft with springs to return the pistons after the shaft pushes them in and out. This is the cheapest style of pump and commonly sold with your cheaper box style machines. They are also a high speed pump running at 3400rpm but are a cheaper pump build than the crankshaft version.
The style and type of pump you use is very important to the variety of work tasks that it will be doing and how often it will be carrying these out. If the correct pump is chosen for the job you will be getting the most out of provided it is also maintained properly.
What is the advantage of using a Petrol Cold Water Blaster?
Petrol water blasters can be used without any from of power, making them far more portable and you will often get better value for performance from petrol as a general rule. From a domestic point of view most people will only have single phase and therefore be very limited to the size water blaster they can use at home, with petrol you can use whichever size you want provided other specifications have been met. The variety of accessories available on the market for petrol water blasters tends to be a lot better as most product is generic between brands.
